Independent Assessment

If your job involves applying pesticides in a commercial role then you are legally required by the Plant Protection Products (Sustainable Use) Regulations (2012) to take this qualification.

This qualification is designed for those who wish to apply pesticides using various types of handheld applicators. 

The assessment will take place on a separate day to the training course (if applicable).

Units available: 
265 - Operating pedestrian handheld applicators fitted with hydraulic nozzles or rotary atomisers to apply pesticides to land (PA6A) (knapsack sprayer) 

266 - Operating pedestrian handheld applicators fitted with hydraulic nozzles or rotary atomisers to apply pesticides to or near water (PA6AW) (knapsack sprayer) 

267 - Operating pedestrian handheld applicators to apply pesticides pellets or granules to land (PA6G)  

268 - Operating pedestrian handheld applicators to apply pesticides pellets or granules to or near water (PA6GW)  

269 - Installing pesticide plugs in standing trees or stumps (PA6PP)  

270 - Operating handheld pesticide injection equipment (PA6INJ) 

271 - Operating handheld applicators requiring minimal calibration (PA6MC)
