Independent Assessment

If you need to buy or use sheep dip products (Organophosphate) then under the Medicines (Exemptions for Merchants in Veterinary Drugs) Order 1998 you will need to hold this qualification.  It is a Licence to Practice.

This qualification covers preparing to dip sheep by demonstrating understanding and knowledge of legislative, welfare and environmental requirements, protective clothing, record keeping, control of external parasites, sheep diseases and dip disposal. There is an optional unit on practical dipping.

The assessment is an online multiple choice test, oral and practical examination.
